Matt Redman is a worship leader and songwriter, formerly leading worship with the Soul Survivor Church. Matt also works with Passion Conferences and Sixsteps Record in the US.Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) artists such as Michael W. Smith, Rebecca St. James, and Tree63 have covered a number of Redman’s songs. Some of his most popular songs include “Heart Of Worship”, “Let Everything That Has Breath”, “Once Again”, and the 2005 Dove Award-winning “Blessed Be Your Name” (Worship Song of the Year). He has authored and edited multiple books on Christian worship, including The Unquenchable Worshipper and the book Facedown, which accompanied the album.

Louie Giglio graduated from Georgia State University. After finishing seminary, Giglio and his wife Shelley began a weekly bible study called Choice Ministries at Baylor University. In 1995, the Giglios moved from Waco, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. While flying from Texas to Georgia, Giglio began to plan for a national gathering of Christian college students; this evolved into the Passion Conferences. Several months after the move, the Passion organization was formed. In January 1997, Passion hosted its first conference for college students, which lasted four days in Austin, Texas with two thousand people in attendance. This launched Passion to the public and it has since been followed by yearly conferences and tours. In 2000, Giglio and others formed Sixsteps Records. Sixsteps is the record label for Christian worship artists David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Charlie Hall (who have all remained a part of the Passion ministry). > Rizal Stadium is located behind De La Salle University - Manila in Taft Avenue. You ride the LRT1 to Vito Cruz, go down and walk AWAY from La Salle, turn right at Torre Lorenzo, walk until you get to the entrance of Rizal Stadium. We're still not sure WHERE in Rizal Stadium it's going to be held, basta it's there. :P

How many people from the Hillsong United team are coming? Who are they?
> According to the organizers, 14 people are coming from the United team. We're not sure who they are though. I guess we'll see on November 21. :)

November 21 is a Tuesday? Why can't it be scheduled on a Friday or
Saturday night?
> That we do not know. :( We think it's because the Philippines is a part of their Asian tour, and we're guessing that right after their event here, they'll be off to another place in Asia.

> As far as we know, the P800 tickets are reserved seating.

I watched Steven Curtis Chapman last May and I remember there's some
sort of Hillsong United promo there. Is that true?

iHero 2006 musical features the return of BOB FARRELL of FARRELL & FARRELL!

"What If He Were Born in Bethlehem... Pennsylvania?"

The stark reality of what that might look like: An African American
Jesus with dreadlocks being crudely crucified on a street sign in New
York ( Jesus is portrayed by Tait); a Judas that kills himself with a
.45 caliber bullet to the head; and a drug addicted, tarot card
reading "girl of the streets" updating the role of Mary Magdalene.

A 21 member cast floods the stage amid the fervent blast of rock music
and video screens constantly flashing a litany of high tech images and
pulsating graphics.

Noted Tait in a recent interview: "This production struck a chord with
me from the very first time I read the script. I knew I had to be
involved. People for years have tried to put a 'face' on what they
believe in and this expereience will definitely stretch your thoughts
about the Jesus you knew growing up. It has stretched me to new levels
artistically and spiritually and I'm passionate to be back on the road
with a message as timely as that of !Hero."

The question was instantly posed of !Hero: 'Have we finally gone too
far in reaching the MTV generation with the gospel?' The controversy
centered around !Hero only seemingly served to attract major crowds
and wide praise from critics. !Hero started initially as one man's
creative dream.

Personal note:
iHero is the brainchild of Eddie DeGarmo and Bob Farrell. Now I wish
the husband and wife team would release another album--or maybe modern
bands --PLEASE MAKE A TRIBUTE album! Alt-version? classical version?

Let me assure you that we LOVE to hear how our music has helped
someone through a hard time, or how God used it to change your life in
some way.

Just a week ago, we received an email from a fan who was in the
process of making a bad decision and involved in some major sin, and
when he heard the song "Rebirthing" on the radio he instantly made a
decision to change his life and not continue in whatever sin that may
have been.

He described it almost as a "rebirth" in his life with God. That is
amazing to me!

Never mind the rights to songs by Limp Bizkit and Justin Timberlake, what excites Vivendi about buying Bertelsmann's BMG music publishing group is Christian rock. The French group yesterday rebuffed claims that the €1.63bn (US1.1bn) its Universal arm has agreed to pay is too steep, as management highlighted the acquisition of the world's biggest Christian rock and gospel catalogue.

BMG has almost 60,000 copyrights on Christian music and its songs have been recorded by stars of the religious music world such as Jeremy Camp. In the US, religious music takes a bigger share of the market than jazz and classical combined.

Vivendi's chief executive, Jean-Bernard Levy, said: 'This is the right price for these rare assets.'"

Sonicflood will release an intl concert album + 2 new songs + 2 mtv

INO Records announces SONICFLOOd's October 31st release of Glimpse: Live Recordings From Around The World, a project that was recorded from concerts in Thailand to Ireland this past year. In addition to the internationally recorded album, SONICFLOOd, the forefathers of modern worship, will be embarking on a nationwide tour with the International Missions Board, which began last week in Charleston, South Carolina and will continue hitting more than 60 venues and 23 states.

 

"Its time for God's people to know that they are a part of something so huge and so wonderful and that right now we have brothers and sisters on the other side of the planet that love us and are praying for us," explains frontman Rick Heil.

 

"When we went overseas this summer we had a chance to record the sounds of every crowd we worshiped with, and then blended them together to create a symphony of praise...it's beautiful!
